You should also compare the letters that each agency whom you are considering actually sends out in order to see whether or not you think they will be effective with the type of debtors that you have.
Another means that most collection agencies use is the telephone. Usually these companies have a script that they go by. It is a good idea to review this as well to see just how effective and productive it is.
You should also ask if they use any other types of collection methods. Some agencies do use email, FAX and certified mail.
Regardless of what method is used, make sure that they are professional. It is also a good idea to ask how legitimate “excuses” and hardship cases are treated.
